Infinium VS Mark II

SWMO Mark

New member
Can anyone tell me how much difference in depth there is between the Infinium and the Mark II useing a 8" coil. I am not interested in the tone ID just depth. Thanks, Mark

I don't have a heads on compare but I did a side by side of the Mark II with the 8 inch coil and a Excalibur 8oo, in AM/PP with the excal the Mark II could not match many of the deep finds...17 inch's wet sand OC MD. I just got a Infinium 10x14 coil and did a compare of it and the same excal 8oo, out of 10 targets the excal got all 10..but I was surprised that the infinium found a few targets out of no where, that the excal could not touch..my guess would be .......Infinium 10x14 20 plus inch's, the Excal 8oo in the 16 to 17 inch range with the Mark II 8 inch up to 15 inch's deep. This is OC Md, things may change once I had the LS longer {have to get use to the dual tones}. Will be getting a 8 inch coil for the Ls this spring. The 10x14 Ron Lord sold me on when he was in Naples hitting targets at 18 inch, no problem. I got the Ls for the Chesapeake Bay hunting next spring.....Hope this helps ...............Joe

That's why the Infinium will find deep stuff others walk over in hunted out locations!:garrett::usaflag::thumbup:

The Infinium will get you more depth then the Mark II as a general rule, as the Infinium can be ground balanced for extreme mineraization, and also tune out the electrical interference. You can also tune the machine so that it doesn't get interference frm other metal detectors and pinpointers. But they are both great machines.
