Infinium salt water hunting

Well-known member
Question for all the Infinium users out there. When hunting salt water beaches, is the 8 inch mono coil the best for this purpose ?

Thanks !

John

Hi John,

I prefer the 8"mono for water hunting and have been doing just fine on the dry sand in heavily hunted areas too.

The larger mono is a favorite of some hunters for dry sand because of the larger coverage it offers.

I haven't used the larger one so have no experience to share.

At first I used the 14" DD that came with it. But since I tried the 8" mono I haven't used anything else.

I'm also going to hunt with the 14" mono for more coverage on the dry areas too.

I heard the 5 x 10" is really hot on the small gold (have one but need to get out with it).

Thanks!

I figured the 8 inch mono would be a good choice. When in the water, I can't control the bigger coils as well, and I have been keen to using smaller coils the last few hunts on my other machines.

Thing is, can you order one with that coil as opposed to the stock and having to buy the 8 inch mono ?

Thanks again.

As far as I know the machine only comes with the stock coil. That's a good question though because maybe it can be special ordered that way.

I would give Garrett a call and let them know you're only interested in water hunting with the 8" mono coil.

It couldn't hurt to ask!
