I do a lot of civil war relic hunting. I have used a lot of machines from whites, minelab, tek, garrets, xp deus and more. If I wanted to purchase the infinium for bad Va culpepper ground that everyone uses a minelab gpx machine or whites tdi how would the garrett infimum do? I never hear people talking about this machine in that ground.

The Infinium will do very well. It will hit targets in that environment and cut through that mineralization. During the Infinium's design stages, it was tested in some of the most mineralized soil in Australia to make sure it would make a great machine for hunting gold.

Thank you for the response. I was certain somebody would know?

You never hear people talking about the infinium in that ground because no one uses it for relic hunting, at least anymore. The infinium is awkward to use on land, in my opinion. It has that hefty waterproof housing that is obnoxiously heavy when out of water (neutral buoyancy in salt water). It is outclassed by the mine lab PIs and the TDI. The TDI in particular really stays a step ahead with abundant aftermarket coil options and the manual adjust ground balance. That's not to say you won't be successful with the infinium. It's very capable of finding things. But there are lighter machines that will find more, for not much more money if you look used.
