Infinium or Goldscan Detector for Beach hunting?????

The Goldscan is six years old and the Infinium is six years old with pulse machine is stronger??? Does anyone Know???? Thanks for the help.

They are two completely different detectors.

The Goldscan has lots of adjustments; Pulse width, pulse delay,Threshold, volume, Sensitivity, Iron Disc and Ground Track.
This machine works great on the beach and in the gold fields (doesn,t like Aussie mineralisation).
If you like playing with settings then this is a good machine.

The Infinium will work equally well anywhere, is waterproof, likes high mineralisation, has iron disc, threshold and frequency adjust, and is much easier to use.
Switch on, Set threshold, GB and away you go. the Infinium does not loose depth when it is Ground balanced, The GS5 does.

Both of these machines are powerfull and you wouldn;t go far wrong with either of them. For myself I prefer the Infinium because it is waterproof and I and I feel it is stronger in the goldfields and I do not have to mess around with timing settings in order to get the best performance from it.

A person using both an Infinium and a TDI is in my book well equipped for beach work.
But the GoldScan sure sounds interesting, there was a few models as fare as I remember GS-4 GS-5 GS-5B GS-5C and afterburner.
I would have had one, had they been easily available.

I hunt a couple beaches that are made up in part of Black Sand. I now use Infinium and TDI. I and thinking about buying a Goldscan detector that was made six years ago, Does anyone know anything about this detector made by Eric Foster? Being that old is it a better detector that the TDI or the Infinum for beach hunting? Thanks for any help.

Good post Adrian. The Goldscan and a TDI(with less controls) are almost the exact same machines as far as I know. I think the same people that make the Goldscan also make a waterproof underwater PI also, forgot the units name? Someone was using it in New Mexico and said it worked good for gold nuggets.

IIMO if I had to make a choice from the units above, I would choose the Infinium LS.
