Infinium on bottle caps?

I have been planning on getting a Infinium. I am wondering how good the discrimination is on steel bottle caps. There is a beach that I have been working that is loaded with them but also has a good amount of jewlery. Problem is I have been spending so much time digging the caps and tabs that I dont cover a lot of ground. It is a fresh water lake beach that has a lot of black sand so my vlf is not getting any deeper than about 8" on anything. Thanks

Experiment a bit with the rev disc on steel caps.
You may find that a strong signal in normal mode will all but vanish in rev disc on steel caps.
This will not occure with most coins and silver. Small Gold can disc out in revers disc.
Very strong signals that disappear in rev disc are often rusty iron and bottle caps.
A strong signal from gold and silver and copper will not disc out completely in rev disc.

Any target signal that reduces in strength in rev disc should be checked.

Using the rev disc feature to try to ID any metal other than gold from iron is a risky game with the Infinium
