Infinium LS

New member
I've been considering the Excal 1000 II and the Fisher CZ-21. The Infinium LS has also caught my eye. This would be a 3rd machine to compliment my Sov GT and my Dual Field. Who's using it on the beach and how does it compare with those previously mentioned. I'm a little put off by the Excal due to the problems I've read here and on other forums. Mainly concerning the threshold knob stripping and becoming uncontrollable.

Thanks,
SP

If you are thinking about an Infinium LS you need to get a passport it go's that deep. It's a PI detector likes bobby pins, but go's very, very deep, I have dug pennies at 26". I also own a sea hunter and excal 1000,but mosty use the Infinium and sea Hunter, did I tell you the Infinium go's very deeeeeeeepppppppppppppp!! don't forget your Passport LOLOL

Wow that sounds good!!! From what I've read, isn't there a way to discriminate out the bobby pins. That's what intrigued me in the first place, a PI machine with discrimination.

See if you can get a lend of an Infinium LS for a day, should not be to hard to find someone with one pushed back as a back-up machine.
Perhaps better lend it for a couple of weeks, it's often said the Infinium LS has a steep learning curve.
If you are in my area (Cairns :ausflag:) you'd be welcome to use mine.

Thanks for the offer, I'm in Southern California.
