Infinium inbound - serial number question

Charles (Upstate NY)

Well-known member
I have an Infinium inbound, should arrive tomorrow! But in reading the posts here it sounds like there were some quality/stabiliy issues with earlier units. Can anyone with a newer/stable unit tell me what serial number they have? You can reach me at charles@coolidgeamps.com if you like. I am aware of the coil cable issue e.g. cheapo looking shrink wrap cables bad, newer smooth jacketed cables good.

You should be fine if its a new unit, the coil cables were redone couple years ago maybe less. Most the bit ching and complaining about the Infinium came from beach users, as the unit was desiged for GOLD PROSPECTING and is more sensitive than usual beach PI's, but added bonus is water proof also. If the unit is TOTALLY submerged in the ocean/lake she is quiet, in the surf can be a little noisey but with practice can be adjusted to perform well.
