Infinium hits the jackpot !

Second time out with Infinium....salt water beach. JACKPOT.

14K engagement ring....had my jeweler test the diamond...REAL ! She stated off hand it's worth between 5K-6K. I was so excited I ran outta there and forgot to ask the size of the diamond. Going to probably get it appraised this week. The diamond is super clean.

I am so stoked right now. The Infinium is 2 for 2...batting a thousand for getting the gold. WOW.

Thanks John and friends for the advice on getting the 10x14 mono coil. I am starting to hear the iron, but still digging everything.

This baby sounded soooooo good !

It's the person that guides the coil that make it happen.

Congrats on being persistent the reward is deserved.

Take some photos, write a story and enter it in the finds of the month contest. You stand a good chance of winning a ProPointer and getting your story in the SEARCHER and maybe in the 2011 catalog. What a great story and find. I am jealous........

GOOD JOB JC!!!!!! Man thats nice!

Sent the story to Garrett.

I want to thank you for giving me the insight to get the 10 x 14 mono. Much easier to swing, flows through the water nice, and I am not sure if the DD will do this since I never used it, but listening to the warble and in/out sound ( ie louder/softer) of iron when sweeping all around the target has helped me guess correctly on a lot of the iron nails I dug. The Infinium, for sure, bangs hard at all angles when hitting nickels, gold and copper. Found a few DEEP small ( about the size of a US quarter) copper pieces that sounded great.

Going to dig everything regardless, but I am able to tell shallow, elongated nails pretty easy and I only have about 4 hours on the machine ( but I am not a newbie to pulse machines).

The mono coil when sweeping all around the target, lets you know if the target is round or somewhat round as opposed to being long. Nails standing straight up are the bear though as they sound good to me but that's ok.

I think the main thing a pulse hunter has to put in his or her head is you are going to dig a lot of garbage, and you probably want to dig everything anyway, but when you get confidence in learning how to distinguish shallow iron, you will dig less of it.

awesome find if i found something like that i would faint. Totally awesome you going to put a ad in the paper and see if the original owner shows and offers to pay you a reward for such a beauty or just sell it yourself? Kind of hard what to do i would be tempted thats for sure and 5 to 6 thousand would sure come in handy. hard to say what to do.

Awesome!:super:Congrats on the great find!:beers:Very, very nice!:thumbup:Happy Hunting!:)

Nothing there. I don't really think I can do much since it looks like this ring may have been lost for awhile, and who knows exactly where it was lost. The beach I found it on isn't necessarily the beach it was lost at. Especially if it was lost within the last year or so with all the storms we had. This thing could have traveled miles. Or it could have been lost 20 years ago. No inscriptions, no unique marks to make it identifiable to a specific owner either.

Dont forget to try the iron check. It works unless there is alot of rust on the target, it will fool it a bit.

Alan

Wouldn't It Be Nice If They Added A Button For An Instant Iron Check? I have submitted that request to Garrett.

Yeh button would be nice as long as it was still waterproof and simple.

Alan

congratulations on the Ring.............. did you find her in The lane, or chest deep
