Headed out with my buddy Scott today to a local lake. The weather for the most part was fantastic, but late in the afternoon, the winds kicked up and the temperature dropped about 15 degrees. In fact, there is a possibility of snow over night around here. What the heck is global warming anyway?

I got a little loot, some religious things....(hey, it's Sunday) and a couple of gold rings.

Here's the religious stuff. That St. Christopher medallion got a little electrolysis, followed by a jewelers rouge polish and then a final bath in the ultrasonic machine. The cross doesn't appear to be silver.

Here's both gold rings and a probably gold plated earring. The Infinium read a High-Low signal on three items. The rings were about 6-8 inches deep.

Hope everybody had a great weekend. :)

Nice gold! I kinda collect the crosses and tokens myself and found a few this weekend with the GT and Goldquest. I sent the LS in for a check up and maybe will have it back for the weekend. HH!

Sometimes I think I'd like to have a PI, seems like I dig up everything anyway!!!! Just can't stand to let a target go by.

The PI's are great to use in mild junk littered areas. In areas with lots of junk, they tend to BURN you out.

Very true, I had a CW site in saltwater, I dug enough rusty crabtrap parts to build one!!! (was using a PI) along with 100 years of hurricane debris! made hunting with the PI very frustrating sometimes, I really like my BHID works like a pulse (am threshold supertuned mode and deeper than I want to dig sometimes!) I can avoid some of the iron bits! I still dig the bobbypins cause they sound so good! lol.

Nice finds John
