I managed a couple of water hunts during the last couple of days. I am really getting to know this PI machine quite well. It gives off it's little audio signal secrets which become more apparent with more time on this machine. Here are all the finds I dug up on the last few hunts. I really like to go after the soft signals which, which have surprised me with a couple of rings. I am simply amazed at the depth this machine gets, even as I use the 8" mono coil. Our Canadian one dollar coins give off a low-high signal, which is my preferred signal to dig. Our two dollar coins give off a low-high-low-high soft signal, probably because they are made of two different metals. I was pulling dimes at 14 inches with a strong repeatable signal. The 10K gold ring with the letter "J" on it was down an amazing 16 inches. I actually measured it twice. I have heard others state amazing depths using this machine. I am now a believer too.

Here are the rings, as found before cleaning. The silver one ln the middle needed several baths and some dremmel work before it would give up its oxides and show silver.

Here are the rings after a dip in the ultra-sonic machine and a bit of red jewelers rouge.

Way to go John!!!!!!, I've got an Infinium on order to add to my collection of water detectors too! I was able to test one last week at a beach and was amazed at the depth too. I know if you spend some time learning this beast the rewards are there to have. I've spoken to a couple of users with the Infiniums and they have great results using them. I was told the more you use the machine (takes time) you'll really start to hear and understand its unique language well. Thanks for the great info and pics!!! HH

Super nice finds! wtg! the PI's are great! Depth is amazing.. found a dime at 18" (measured) yesterday so i know what your talking about! ...! the soft sounds are a mandatory dig! Do you find that iron is a harsher sound than non ferrous? thats what I'm getting. So far I can tell if a quarter, cent, dime, nickle (or rings) is under my coil by the tones they make. I'm about 75% coorect most of the time.

Hey John, I just got the Infinium and it seems like some machine! I'm still resting a sport injury from a few weeks ago. It's making me crazy as I want to get back to beach detecting! Anyway, I've been reading all the beach setup tips I can find and just watched the video it came with.
I've read your posts on various sites along with others and think I'm about ready to get out and really learn this machine! Thanks and HH!
