Infinium Frequency?

Just a question that is bugging me. I know it is a PI machine that has several frequencies that can be changed, But what is the range of the frequencies???

The Infinium has 96 freq. I believe they range from 100 hz to 100,00 khz. Something like that, but the freq change is more of a shift for more stable detecting during hunts around EMI or other detectors.

The infinium PPS (Pulses Per Second) can be varied very slightly in order to reduce the effects of interference from other detectors and some low frequency transmission but the frequencies that go into the make up of each pulse does not change significantly. changing the frequency does not alter the detectors sensitivity to any target. My Inf is running at 720pps.

What is the adjustment range, 698pps to 730pps? Is this correct?

PPS is not adjusted...its the actual freq's that penetrate the ground that are adjusted. Just like a VLF.

Fishers Ghost in the post above say he's running 720pps? Garrett website say 730pps. I'm confused here.

There is no need for confusion, it is possible to run the Infinium LS at 720PPS
Pulse Frequency adjustment: Max 730 PPS, adjustable downwards in 31 more steps.
It's an advantage to comprehend the use of this adjustment in conjunction with the GB and Disc adjustment when setting up the Infinium LS for max sensitivity and or depth to small Low conductors or larger High conductors.

So what would be the Ideal settings for fairly tame ground-with little iron trash or minerlization-does not really change in mineralization from area to area.
I would want the most sensative setting for nuggett hunting?
I ground balance, dont use the ground trak, and 8 thershold.I had a adapter for grey ghost phones but it broke and I like the stock phones better-much more steady thershold sound.
Found I heard to much If I can explain this but might switch back.
I only adjust the freq when EMI bothers the machine or I hunt with my buddy(he has infinium also).

Would the freq give me a edge on smaller gold or depth. Most my areas I can use a VLF but hot rocks can be trouble on the shist bedrock-lots of iron pyrite and blue berries(hematite).Really loads your sluice in places.

No. such a small frequency (PPS) shift will have no discernable effect on sensitivity to any size target. The PPS adjust is for external EMI reduction only.
The disc adjust will alter the sensitivity to small gold significantly if it is set above 3. It is not a bad idea to do a bench test with some gold items to see the effects of different settings of this control.
Setting the threshold below audible will reduce the depth that you can hear targets.

Yeah thats what i thought.I should do soem more testing using disc as a ID guide. But I use a earth magnet and dig all when nugget hunting.I would be using this feature more for beach gold I guess.
Which I should be hunting more for as I do not know many that do in the water if any around here.
