Infinium as your only detector

Hello,
I live in Colorado and want to relic hunt and gold prospect. Also from time to time may want to coinshoot. I read great things about the infinium but wonder if it will work for all my needs.

The other question I have is about prospecting. Is it only for large nuggets or will it find the small ones as well. Other thoughts for detectors are whites mxt, tesoro lobo, new fisher gold bug se, fisher f70 or f75' or whites dfx. Oh let's not forget minelab xterra 705.

I currently own a whites eagle spectrum. Good detector not to found of hot rocks though.

Thanks for your input.

Bryanna

HI BG,

Try http://www.p2p-zone.com/infinium/index.php for an amazing amount of Infinium Info.

It is the Prospecting Forum from Australia where the Infinium was born and bred!

GL and best wishes,

CJ

No detector does it all. The Infinium was designed to find gold in some of the highest mineralized soils in the world. It is deep too. It will find those small nuggets too, but not with the larger coils, as is the case with any detector. But it is also a PI, and although quite capable of reading deep coins, it will also read all targets, which for some areas is just not practical. You might want to get a gold metal detector plus another. The ACE 250 is a killer for coins and doubles up for deep relics and wont break your bank account

Somehow the editing system of this forum has altered the address I posted.

Sorry I didn't notice.

John's suggestion or Adrian's should help you out.

Good luck with your search for info,
