Infinium and salt water

Is the Infinium salt water friendly .....as I'm looking for a PI for my salt water & black sand hunting here in southern California beach's...... The reason I ask this is the manual states salt water could cause false tones, and the Disc should be turned a few notch's to compensate for salt water?...... and what coil is best for hunting the surf line...Thanks Robert

Found the answer....... when salt water is present the threshold might chance.... and buy adjusting the disc a click or two will stable out the threshold...... but you will still be digging deep targets.

yep thats it!

I would not dive any deep than 150 ft though it gets a little mushy after that deep. PS It does not come from the factory with the diving headphones the phone it comes with are for the dry only why they did that I did not know till I used the underwater headphones and they are to dang loud in the air so in the air put the dry phones on so you can tone them down some.

Hey dray,

Cut disks of 1/8" rubber gasket material for the ear-cups of the water phones and quiet the noise down.

It works very well for above the water and greatly reduces ambient noise too.

I tried the audio disaster Garrett sells with the machine and couldn't get rid of them fast enough!
