Can't figure it. 18 tabs, 7 bottle caps & zero coins. But the ring. You would think there would be one coin in there somewhere. The ring was a iffy signal to boot. 2 hours, Crystal clear water, 57 degrees. Had some fun today. Couple pics, sandbar, 8.8 grams of stainless steel, baby !

That liquid water sure looks nice! Yeah, those SS rings sound exactly like gold ones to me, sometimes maybe just a touch lower and softer even...good on ya for digging that signal...
I will toss this out there to you something I have been thinking about...

When I first started this sport, I was hunting right on top of the sandbars, and down the backside slope, its not a place that gets a lot of advice as a good location to hunt, but I didnt know any better..... I found 2gold rings and several silvers that I remember...It sort of makes sense if you think about it... people do play right on top of the sandbars, body surf, dive under approaching waves and dig their fingers into the sand on the backside slope to hold their position...so who knows? Good to see your posts!:beers:

I'm agreeing with you on this situation. I can handle the water temperature on a sunny day. But waves , well you know. When the waters are calm, I can have a good 2-3 hunt. Than its time for my favorite Rum, for medicinal purposes only of course. !
That ring hit on that nickel/gold area but iffy. Only good signal was a half bent tab, it sure sounded good.
