Infant's Ring with stones

I would like some opinions on the ring I found and if you agree with the statements that a local jeweler made to me. Could this be older then what is being stated? The inside is stamped "Sterling" Thanks for any help and answers given. HH

I went and talked to the jeweler today. He stated that it is an infants ring and very common with European people. His best guesstimate on age is 1960's. He used his special eye piece to look at the stones and said they were glass and that they are nothing fancy. Then he stated that 1929 and before jewelry makers did not stamp the word " sterling" on the inside of rings. He stated it isn't worth much of anything.

it was worth finding, and a neat thing to put up for a grandkid.

Garnets...

Garnets... Take it under a UV Blacklight, garnets and ruby's will shine, glass will not. Clean it in an ultrasound cleaner..

Thank you for the information. Much appreciated.
