Indians, Daredevils, Guns, and Silver, OH MY!!

Had another decent day at a late 1800's house I had permission to hunt at. Everything was around 6-8". I love finding those IH's. They have always been my favorite penny. The auto daredevil coin has the Lord's Prayer on the back and looks like it was worn as a necklace. I did some research and it was a very interesting story about a daredevil named Ward Beam. It is dated from the 1930's. He would jump his 30's car over just about anything, but was famous for jumping over buses. I tried to get a good picture so you could see the detail, but my camera isn't that great. You can see the group of people standing at the bottom left. Supposedly, he would sell these coins at his show as a good luck charm. The 1917 SLQ made me happy as well. Gotta love finding silver. The toy gun I guess is from the 40's from what I could Google. Anyway, thanks for looking and HH.

Great finds, I really like the daredevil medallion. HH Dennis in Idaho

Thanks Dennis. I enjoy finding items like the daredevil coin the most. Now with the internet, you can pretty much research anything you find. I found a token in a park one time and the park committee meetings were online in their entirety. I was able to drill right down to the time frame and actually read the meeting notes that mentioned tokens of the type I found. It really put me into that time frame.
