Indians & Buttons

LDC

New member
Got out yesterday and hit the same park I hunted Saturday. Wasn't able to get any silver this time but did get a couple Indians (1907 & 190:geek: and two interesting buttons. Maybe the resident button experts can shed some light on the age and details of the buttons.

The button on the left has the London city shield (I believe) on the front and says "Firmin & Sons LTD London" on the back. From google searches it appears as this is some type of London city official, police, or superintendents button, uncertain of it's age. The large second button I believe to be a general service army button, the back says "City button works New York", unsure of it's age.
Also got a trade token.

Yeah this may have been my last hunt at the park because of our move. I'll probably hunt it later when we come back to visit.

Very nice !

Nice finds. Great pictures. Your right about the military button. It's a general service button and they date from 1902 to WWII or just after, I believe.
