Indiana State Seal Button - CZ 3 talked me into this one

I went back to the grove where I found the Civil War medal over the weekend. I opened the hole up and made sure the medal hanger was not just hanging around. I started a grid search and got a faint and broken signal. I could tease it into sounding good from a couple of angles, so I dug it. It was about 8 inches deep and pretty muddy. I could tell it was a button and that was about it. I got it home, cleaned it up and amazingly it was an Indiana State Seal button. I am not a button guy, but I am hoping that it is Civil War related as well. If you have any ideas, please let me know.

very nice for sure, the cz3d is making me a beleiver, so tell me i 've been looking at one of these for a while and had hunted with a gal that owned one of these and she traded it for a whites mxt and said she liked it better and asked her why and she said it was a iron hog, well the way i see it is if it has audio like the 1200 series or simalar you can hear it so was wondering don if you could tell me there's not really mistaking iron with this CZ really interested in one for sure!

Hey AMC,
The iron noise is there, you hear it, but I like it because it lets you zero in on areas that might have potential. There is little mistaking iron for coins in my experience. I dig a lot of signals that I know going in probably aren't coins. I collect a lot of junk, but this year has been amazing for me on relics. I hit a Civil War medal, a watch fob for Peter Weatherbird shoes, a manure spreader token for a horse drawn manure spreader and a horse bridle rosette. I like the odd stuff I find. If you want to concentrate on coins dig the high repeatable coin sized targets and you have coins. Let us know what you decide.

oh i want one but i don't want to part with the 1236x2 either so just have to wait a bit read your forums on the cz's for sureand keep the great finds coming in for sure!

Oh no--here we go again.

Well you'll probably like the CZ as it's a great machine. But read the reviews on you know what because it does take some getting used to. You may at first dig a lot of nails but after a while you'll know what high tones to dig and what not to dig. Really deep too.

well the first thing i try to pin down is how to size it up the target and that helps me alot, my 1236 is definitly a keeper but a cz would be awsome with it!
