went to another old school that I have not been to before, did not find much.... mostly clad, then shortly before I left I got a 1941 silver quarter, so that saved the day! Was silver coin #33 for the season.
Was driving back thru this small town and noticed an old church and I saw an elderly gentleman outside at the house next door, I stopped and chatted with him for a bit trying to see if he knew the pastor of the church, explained to him I wanted to detect the church yard. He did not know the pastor or where he lived but he told me his house was one of the oldest houses in town and told me "why not try my yard!"
I love it when things happen like that. So I had an hour left to detect and started in the front yard, VERY first target was the 1901 indian, (#15 IHC for the year) I knew it was going to be a good yard. I got 2 wheats, 1920 and 1937, a button that was for an honor roll student, thought that was unique. I asked him if he minded if I came back thursday morning to finish the yard because I was out of time and he said no problem! So hoping for more goodies thursday when I return.
