Indian Rocks Beach

Wraith

New member
Well, getting back into the hobby after about a two year lay off. Went to Indian Rocks Beach this morning and saw at least three other detectors out there, so I went straight into the water to hunt. Only spent about an hour in the water due to the large number of stingrays I kept stepping on and scaring away. Hit the sand for a bit and got a little clad and a small (toe?) dinosaur ring (no silver/gold) that everyone else missed. I also found one of the hoop earrings in the water and the other in the sand. I'm conviced I'm doing something wrong with my Detector Pro Diver as I've never found any gold and only one silver (guessing I'm just searching the wrong areas). With that in mind, if anyone in the St. Petersburg/Clearwater area that is experienced wants to catch up with me one day and give me a few pointers at one of the local beaches it would be greatly appreciated!

That would be cool...only thing is my days off are Monday and Tuesday.
