Indian pennys VDI ?

It all depends upon the condition of the coin and the minerals in the soil. Also i've had a coper nickle indian head 1864 i believe, read in at 20.

I find Indian Head pennies quite a lot around here where I live. Usually when the mineralized soil is at about 75 I read them at about a vdi reading of 52. Some spots I search when the mineralization is around 35 I find them at a vdi reading of 65. I do find that the readings are much stronger in sound when using relic mode. Settings depend on the ground.
PS. Found three of them in one hole today alone 1902,1903, and 1905 pennies. I was still getting about a 52 reading in the ground with all three of them together.
