Indian Head penny after a weeks cleaning

Sorry if this post isn't in the right channel. This forum doesn't have a coin cleaning topic.

Anyway, here's the results on my IH penny after one week soaking in linseed oil and 3hr baths every day in warm water and dish washing liquid.

Alot of the black grunge is gone now. The large cent is cleaning too, but it's gonna take longer. Will post pics of it next weekend to see if there is a change.

Same way, it's just alot more grotty on the front. The grot hasn't loosened much yet.
 
Well done..
I suppose CLR would do more damage than good..
Anyone ever try it..
