Indian Head coin 1865's found Sunday in Hereford, UK

I had an interesting day out in Herefordshire yesterday with 8 other Detectingwales.com members on fields that border a 12th Century Templar church.

Numerous finds came out including loads of copper coins, Victorian milled silver, buckles, bronze pot legs, musket balls, etc but I won't bore you with those.

Some of the more interesting items that I personally found included a 1915 silver French Franc. A lovely medieval spectacle style buckle. A silver plated nurses buckle and a curious lead item that is in need of further investigation as may well be a Medieval Pilgrims Badge.

Other finds by those with me included a rose gold and silver "Kate" brooch dating to the late 1850's, a gold with diamond and ruby splinters ring, a medieval spur from 1400's, a 1500's Hans Krauwinkle jetton and 1865 Indian Head cent from the USA. Whats that doing over here?

Enjoy the photos

You can send me the Kate brooch, I will give it to my soon to be wife Kate Beckinsale, I think it would make a great introduction piece for us, on our first meeting.

Interesting to see an Indian Head being dug over there across the pond!!!!

While I haven't found my 1/4 Stater over here in the States, I have managed to find a 1907 Edward VII Halfpenny!

Very nice finds...congrats!
