Independent detectortest from Holland

Must be some pretty nasty ground and co-located targets. DD coils did the best by far. Some of the tests lacked info on coil type and size. Even though he said they were claimed to be performed by experienced users some of the listed results seem a little "unusual".

The MXT with stock coil test did not surprise me but the T2 results seemed to maybe be just a tad off!

Tom

that those targets do not relate to what we have here in the US. A silver coin means nothing unless it's like the silver coins we find here. One target listed is a piece of bronze. Gee what does that mean, what kind of piece, size, shape, thickness. All this comes into play when searching.

I'm sure the person that conducted those test, under his conditions, and targets, that's what he got. I would take those results with a grain of salt for here in the US.

I know that detectors that had bad test results, are very good detectors for general use. I think that the soil contains clay also.

Eric.

Please bear in mind that I am not influenced by any of these test results. Several detectors that scored badly, are excellent performers in the field.

Thanks, Eric.

i was surprised by the big difference in performance between the f-75 and t-2, they should have a separate tab on how the machines are set up

Hi,

The set up was pretty much the same, all the detectors joining our testbed, just need to discriminate small iron "as you can read on my web site"

As Mr.Bill related to we don't hunt Holland coins and a good detectorist that knows his unit and basically his ground can usually go deeper with proper settings. Gosh everyone worries about depth and one wonders how many good targets are lost due to masking. Indeed take these or any tests with a grain of salt...as they are ballpark at best..
