My first Morgan dollar ever !! It has obviously been through a very hot fire .... "O" mintmark ... date is obliterated. I took the AT Pro to a spot that I have pounded with my Explorer. It was bouncing between 85 and 94 and it was about 8 inches deep. I did'nt even know what I had until I brought it home and washed it up a little ... I was stunned to say the least ! It's toasted ... but it's mine and I love it. It's got character ! Also found some cool old relics from the farm that was once there. But the Morgan was the only coin I found today !:detecting:

Fantastic Find Dave! Strange why it ended up in a fire. Hopefullt no one was burned to a stake

John, the site where I was hunting was an old farm house that had burned down over 50 years ago. So it would make sense if there were some silver dollars (or one anyways) in the house when that happened.
