What a banner day. Just goes to show, I walked the shoreline of this beach yesterday. Today it was like a different beach!

I scored 5 gold
18K white gold chain 32.4g
14k charm 1.8g
and 3 rings 1.2, 1.2 and 1,7g
also got 2 silver

you know i bet the waves wached away the sand and left the heavy stuff right were you could get it , it was like that in a creek i found my eastern archaic copper spear point , thear was a layer were the river washed down to and every thing was on that layer new and old you better get bak to that spot

Way to go Ron! You "cleaned up" real nicely at the beach. Thanks for sharing your finds.

Are you sure the chain is gold? That mark (18K Italy) seems quite strange. In Italy we don't have that kind of mark. You will never find 18K but 750 and there has to be a mark with the number and the country of the laboratory where the jewelry came out.
Usually that kind of mark it's put on those fake items for tourist.

Have check it out. We also have gold plated items coated with 4 micron gold. It has been made to trick the gold tester.
Gold and pawn shops use to cut the jewelry to see if the core is real gold.

Hope for you I'm wrong.
