Ina And Her Excal Were Shining Today...She's On Fire!

Call this post a continuation of my "River Loot" post...this is Ina's stuff. She likes her Excal. A lot!

Aside from 15 quarters, 13 dimes, 9 nickels, and 33 pennies, she also found a 10K white gold 10-diamond channel set ring, a 10K ruby and diamond ring, and a silver St. Christopher medallion...which I didn't have to take a picture of. But I did bring home the two rings for cleaning and picture posting. Oh, and I forgot to say...there was a guy that had us looking for a lost family heirloom rose-gold ring that was his grandmother's. It was lost a month ago. We beat that section of beach to death in up to chest deep water but never found it. But he was grateful anyway and we told him we'll be back...we have his contact info. He gave us three $10 bills, one for Ina, one for Darren and one for me. Paid for the gas, coffee, etc. and then some. :)

Here's the diamond ring before cleaning...full of black silty muck.

Way to go Ina! See you tomorrow when you come get them.

I took your advice and picked up one of the same ultrasonic cleaners you have. Sure works nice for cleaning up jewelry!!! My wife has a sapphire ring she wears all the time and she was embarassed to show me that she hasn't had it cleaned in about 7 years. It took more than a couple rounds in there, but the 50:50 Mr. Clean and water finally did the trick and it looks brand new again!!

Nice finds - I need to get to work looking for sites like that myself!!

WOW !!!! Ina must be on top of the world !!! Way to go

Ya'll did so great up there and think of how much there is still to find! Better take Max along next time. Ya'll need to get back over there. Glad you and the Excal are getting along. Huntress is getting a little cocky here lately, but I guess I can deal with it OK! I'm sold on the untrasonic Mike, gotta have 1! Nice clean up ya'll!

Hey Mike,
Where do you get an ultrasonic cleaner at ..on ebay perhaps ? what do they run...I could sure use one..my tumbler doesnt come close what your ultrasonic can do !!!

But you don't tumble jewelry, do you? I mean, you wouldn't want to use this on coins...just for cleaning rings with gemstones, chains, watch bands, other jewelry items with hard to clean nooks and crevices.

I did get it on eBay. And if you want one you can do a "Buy it Now" and get one for $59.95 or you can do like I did and find one with no bids on it and wait until the last few seconds of the auction and "snipe" it by putting in a $50 bid. The minimum bid is $49.90, so that's what I got it for. They have multiple listings...look at the one below. If you notice, there will be several auctions of that exact model ending all the time. Some get bought and some don't. So it's easy to save $10 on it, or you can just buy one for $60.

This is the one. This one ends in 15 hours.
