I am going to buy two detector will be buying two new detectors for my brothers.

We are looking at the whites line maybe MXTs or somewhere in that range up to the V3 on one of them. I need some help here.

I was told the XLT is out of the white line in a short time has any one heard this too..

I have 10 years or so on my XLT and It needs a over haul until the last few months I have been Happy with it

I haven't heard anything officially about the XLT, but it stands to reason that at some point, the XLT, DFX and other older models are bound to vanish from the White's line. The V3 is really starting to take a strong stand with those who have upgraded. This is just one post, of many, of interest on the V3 forum.

The MXT is most likely the strongest seller for White's at this time. It is a great, pretty much, turn-on-and-go detector, not only for coins, but relics and nugget hunting as well.

In my view they could upgrade the XLT with LCD colored graph screens like the V3.I for one can't see them doing away with the xlt.It was the first metal detector I ever got.And I like it even now, besides not everybody has 1,500+ hanging around especially now to plunk down on a V3:thumbdown:

If anyone in your group is like me and like simplicity with high-end performance then I would have to recommend the MXT.
