In the market for a new detector

Cant get the Vanquero out of my head but also have thoughts about a Whites M6. Coinshooting my main objective. I like to hunt old places, old home seats back in the woods, old school sites but also like to hit some old swim areas around fresh water lakes and rivers. Dont know why the M6 has caught my attention. Is the M6 considered to be a manual ground balance, I have read you have to pump it up and down several times. Some of the places I will be going are in heavy red clay areas and some not.
If i remember correctly and it may have been a post by Monty, anyway it was said that the Vanquero in all metal mode was to fast. Just was curious if the M6 may be this way also. I also like the thought of being able to switch from an ID sound to just tones on the M6.
Appreciate the thoughts, ideas.
Thanks
Bowie

Hey Bowie,

Check out the whites XLT. It's very versatile. I swung one for 8 years.now I have the DFX which is basically the same but with dual frequencies. Both have automatic ground balance, tone I.D. or just regular tone whatever you want. In my opinion these are 2 of the greatest machines out there.

see if you can find a minelab sovereign...(any model) with a 180 meter....can be had in the $300--$350 price range. very rugged, the best at the beach, and it is DEEP !

The Sovereigns are a great detector and I have only seen a Explorer do maybe a little better than the Sovereigns, but feel you dig less trash with the Sovereigns. You have to go slow and have the patience to learn what this detector is telling you, then you can amaze yourself and others what this detector can find.
