[size=large]It was warm and humid taday. I decided at go down on
tha south side of Saline River and do some relic detectin.

To my dismay, tha city has declared tha area restricted.
No trespassing. Violators will be prosecuted to tha fullest
extent of tha law. Nuts!!!!

I got disgusted with Benton and drove to Little Rock.

First I hunted my old trusty Fair Park tot lot.

While I was there I found an un-marked golden pendant.

Then I hunted tha volley ball court.

Not a whole lot there. So I went to another tot lot.

Found a bug pendant there.

Then I went to try tha soccer field.

Read your post and figured," TD had a good idea".Told wife I was out the door, she said," Back in 45 minutes if you want to eat.".The 4 to 5 hours got cut short......, Walked to the local tot lot....Wood chips had thawed out, so anything in them was free for the taking....Ground below was ice, I left a lot of signals ....There was one signal I kept on coming back to,,,,letting the Sun thaw, and then scrape the ice some more.( I had an ice scraper for a digging tool)..No reason for returns, until I saw the coin edge and dug the half dollar out..I don't care what anyone says, my "V" takes care of the old fool swinging it..Total was $1.15.Smallest item, brass disc 1/4 inch Diameter, largest 1973 half dollar..Almost a temperature record here, nothing but down hill weather..TD, keep those posts coming.Cordially NAD

WTG! - I went to a park this morning for my 1st time there and the place was full of kids I guess all playing with new toys. Them critters were everywhere!:rage:
In the grass areas there were footballs, baseballs, remote control planes, boats, cars, and the tot lots loaded with critters. At least you got out had a nice hunt and nice weather.
Yesterday I left Calif. and went to Nevada to get the grand daughter and took 2 detectors hoping to get some swing time at an old mine or two. By the time I got there most of the day was over thanks to morning traffic and chain control getting over the Sierra's. Didn't matter anyways as the 2 mines were under a couple feet of snow.
70s sure sound nice right about now:sadwalk:

I don't know how you fellows up north can stand the wait until spring thaw. I'd go nuts.

Congrats on a great hunt Tabdog! Good job on the gold. Keep on doing what you are doing, it works, Beale.
