In my ground max sensitivity runs smooth.

So I run mine max all the time. Only one time I had some interference and turned it down. I am starting to appreciate the other modes depending on the area. In general though I'm running Pro zero hearing everything and Pro custom with not hearing iron. I learned a lesson a couple days ago. Foil hits at 42 and I have been not digging those from 42-49. A friend of mine asked me to check a signal and it came in at 49. He dug up a metal toy soldier. I was thinking no,,,now I'm going to have dig foil at least at 49. Today I took a 10K gold ear ring out and tested it and it came in right at 42. Some of my past detectors could not hear the ear ring when it was opened. The AT Pro nailed it at great air test hight with higher numbers in the 60's.

One thing I didn't like about it in the water was swinging it. I used a Lobo ST in the water before and remember how easy the thin round 8" coil swept thru the water. Do any of the other coils sweep any easier?

Rick you must have really mild soil lol here in maine i can't run max.I can run 2 notches from max with manual sensativity :)

Note: When I wrote this, I thought I had clicked on the tread for best settings. Will repost it there since it addresses that question better. Sorry about that.

My ground balances at about 78-81 and I can't run my sens high past two or three bars in standard mode before it starts to false beltone every swing or two.

I've been using the Pro mode and haven't had any falsing. I'm starting to like Pro Custom a lot now with iron off so I don't hear it. Standard mode does get more falsing.

Sas, I run mine at full sens down here, but the closer I get to the water, the more I have to turn it down, but on land it's open wide
