In between the rains,

I managed to get out for a couple of hours on my way home from work this morning. It got up to 90 here today and 100% humidity, tornado warnings and severe weather all around us. Am I stupid or just sick to get my silver fix. I was extra careful with this Barber, but it was already scratched with X's and lines on the front and back. I have found quite a few oldies like that over the years, any one know why that was done back in the 1800's? That would have been another $50 dime without the scratches.....:veryangry: Other finds were a nice 1920 merc, a 1887 IH and 4 wheats, the newest was 1919. This old park has been worked hard, but the V3 just keeps finding them............... This 10' by 30' strip in the park has been hunted by me and my DFX and SE Pro at least a dozen times over the years and I would have sworn, nothing was left. The V3 makes a believer out of me. Nothing was very deep, maybe 8 inches max, but there was a lot of trash that I had to pick through to get what I got. Next time I'm using the 5.3 coil and go over the same area.

I use Hi-Pro almost all of the time........stock. It beats the heck out of my modified Hi-Pro as posted on the DFX forum and that was running the DFX wide open.

I went back to the stock coil yesterday Monte. I had been using the 10X12 SEF for a long time. I have not done any depth comparison of the two, both seem to work about the same with the coverage edge going to the SEF.

Thanks Roy, you been getting any V3 time in?
