In a pickel about power supplies

Hi all, hope this is the right place for this...

I recently purchased a used Sovereign Elite from a friend and he gave me a power supply that works fine to charge the battery for it but he just told me he needs that power supply for his Explorer, that it is NOT the one for the Sovereign and he can't find the one for the Sov. I have used this ol' Sovereign enough now that I really love it and don't want to have to give it back to him. But it's not worth the $$$ if I can't charge it.

My question is... Is the power supply for the Sovereign the same one as for the Explorer? The one for the Sov is a 15 VDC @ 100mA part # 78-0302-0016 per Minelab Svc Dept.

Thanks!

My Explorer charger states that it's input is 110V AC 60Hz, and output is 15V DC 100mA.

Go to the Sovereign forum and ask there, and also look at the Sovereign battery Sticky at the top of the page as I'm sure the answers are right there for you probably. I don't use the stock charger so I can't help. I don't even use the stock battery. I run a tiny 3 cell lipo in my GT to help in a diet of weight savings I put the GT on. I use a computerized aftermarket charger to charge that, which will also charge the stock nimh pack and various other battery chemistry types as well that involve my other hobby of RC electric planes.
