Impressed with the V

Just got my used Vaquero, l know that there is much more to detectors than depth on coins, l also know that air tests are not "end all beat all" but wow! My Outlaw and my Xterra-70 perform about the same in depth but the "V" outdid them both by apx 3" on all coins and various rings. l know which machine l am using next time out if this stupid Winter would let go up here in Michigan.

I agree. I've bought a Garrett ace 350 and got a couple days with it. Recently picked up a new compadre and a used deleon and hasn't been one nice day since then. I agree with the mighigan blues... :-(

I just got the 11x8 coil for my vaquero today and the weather here in Maine is not any better.

I amy pick that coil up at a later date, let us know how you like it and what it changes.

I use to think my Vaquero wasnt that deep . I would set the sens at 10 . Now I'm crankin it up to the end of the red and its going deeper than I want to dig .

I got a solution...
If you got a Vaq you need a decent handheld but also one of these.
They should include one in the box with every unit.
Catch them on sale at Harbor Freight with a 25% coupon and you are good to go!

They are usually on the top shelf so you will need to ask a couple of workers there to help you wrestle it down.

I do need a pick . I gave up on a bunch of targets in some hard rocky soil a couple of days back . I was down 7 inches . In good soil last week I dug three 100 year old wheats at 7 to 9 inches They were all deeper than the lestche digger and with a good strong signal .
