impact isat settings?

Is the intelligent self adjusting threshold best to have off or set to 01 using the disc modes since no threshold can be heard using them? Also when using the gen all metal modes should the isat be set to a higher number? A little confused about where to set them so any advice is greatly appreciated.

You have a range from '00' = Off, or '01' to '10' to increase the speed at which it an help handle false signals that can be caused my 'ground noise.' That is high mineralization, encountering mineral 'slopes' in a search area, or from hot rocks. In short, to help deal with more challenging ground conditions. If you are in neutral ground without any hot rocks, etc., then a setting of '00' turns iSAT 'Off' and you might achieve slightly better performance. The default setting is '01.'

When in a Threshold-based All Metal (GEN and GEN D modes) function, the iSAT feature provides an auto-tune speed to help restore a Threshold level when in harsh or challenging bad ground conditions. The factory default is '06' and the operator can increase the retune speed, with the potential to lose a little detection depth or have a difficult time hearing a faint signal, or they cqn decrease the iSAT if allowable which might enhance their detection depth and/or small-target detectability.

For example, on my Impact I have ALL of the motion-based, silent-search Discriminate modes set with an iSAT of '01.' My All Metal GEN modes have an iSAT setting of '03.' Those settings work for me even in the very mineralized sites I hunt, but I can tweak them ± as needed during a hunt.

Is the ISAT on the impact anything like reactivity on the deus? Could be way off but kinda sounds like the higher the ISAT the faster the machine processes the signal which would also decrease depth. If so I wonder if higher ISAT settings would help in really dense iron beds?

If your threshold is continually drifting or dropping out, then a higher iSat will indeed help you.
By really dense iron beds, are you talking about thick man made iron, or naturally occuring hot/cold rocks?
