wannabe mdr

New member
there are so many detectors to choose from.......I live in Illinois and would like to do some land and some beach detecting maybe calf deep water...and want to spend somewhere in the range of 600 or less

Hi wannabe... I'm in IL too... I'm near Joliet....

Dave you in IL too... is it possible...... I might of found two new frineds... near me? is it possible...? What a way to start 2010....

A lot of us from IL. Welcome to the forum wannabe. Calf deep in the water is not that bad that you can't use just about any detector as long as you don't lose your balance and dunk your detector. If you will do a lot more water hunting than dry land hunting, a water machine might be a good idea, other wise a White's MXT or M6 sounds like something you might be interested in. You live just a few miles South of one of our club members who lives just over the state line in Genoa City. He is a MXT user and a great guy to go hunting with and I'm sure he would be happy to show you what the MXT can do for you if you were interested.

What kind of money can you afford to put out for a detector?
What kid of detecting do you want to do? You've got alot of knowledgable people in your area to
help you out.
