iMac help in resizing

TURNMASTER

Active member
Anybody able to help me resize my photos on the imac? I am having a small bit of trouble. I can use the edit option and "crop" but the only valid option seems to be in the "custom" and manually enter the size then you have guess work and may get poorly proportioned photos.

Help would be appreciated.

Jeff

Are you using "picture viewer" that come with Mac? Or Photoshop or what...? I use iMac at work all day and avoid picture viewer. There are lots of free websites out there that resize photos as well. Like here: http://www.picresize.com/

Not yet, I had to run. I will give it a shot. I would however like to get it done from my machine.

We will see how this works. This was my first 10 or so hints this year.

Seems to work, any input on doing it on the mac would still be appericiated.

Thanks Diggler

You can also get the tool Google Picassa. Free viewer and editor. It's easy to re-size your pictures using that tool without impacting your original files. Just a simple tool.

This may be a bit late, but here goes. After choosing a photo or photos you want to resize go to File>Export. From there you can choose a file size in the drop down menu. Then you can export it to folder or create a new one. Hope this helps.
