I'm Thinking Tesoro Cleansweep Coil

It sure sounds like a Tesoro Cleansweep coil would make covering large park areas and sports fields a lot faster. A five pin coil will fit my Eldorado, Bandido II uMax, and the Golden uMax. A four pin coil will fit my Vaquero. I'm leaning towards a five pin coil, because of how super hard my Bandido hits on gold and the Golden uMax would be nice to use with it to notch out trash in really trashy areas. I also heard that the newer Cleansweep coils are lighter. How much? Is it noticeable? How can you tell which one is the newer one? Is pinpointing with the Cleansweep as easy as I've heard?

Decisions, decisions, decisions.

Any help would be most welcome and appreciated.:)

tabman, The earlier Cleansweeps were epoxy filled and the lighter latter are incased. There is a bit of difference in weight when swinging. Just make sure if you buy a used Cleansweep that you know what you are getting.

Just bought another for my Cibola. I had purchased one from waltdwiz a few weeks back and ran it on my silver umax and enjoyed it. Pinpointing wasnt hard at all. I turned the coil around backwards So it ballanced a bit better and the tip of the coil when pinpointing always seem to be where the target was under.

I have seen the coils go for almost $200. I just got one from Kellyco for as mentioned my Cibola for $169. Looking forward to getting it.

the new clean sweep is 5 oz lighter
when you get 1 mount it backwards the balance is fantistic
& loves gold rings
theres no coil that pinpoints better
works good next to playground poles
its a must have coil & ill bet it will be on your detector 90% of the time
the only problem is you may have to have 4 or 5 of them with all the units you have
your gonna love it

5 ounces less is a bunch less at the end of a pole that you're swinging all day long.

OK, I'm definitely in the market for a used Cleansweep. The newer lighter one.:)

i use the cibola with the 3X18 coil primarily on dry sand as it covers a great swath of sand in no time. It is just as good in parks, fields, etc. i get a good 6" depth with it. you can swing it fast as it is lightning quick with its response. it is very light and well balanced + my coil is 5 years old so it is the heavier one. in the wet SALT WATER sand it is not very good here in ny and nj but in freshwater it is fine.

Thanks for the info everyone.:)

I can't wait to get a CSC and give it a test run. Although right now it's too frigging hot and humid to get out and do much of anything around here. :veryangry:

Humidity makes a World of difference. I'll take 105 degrees with low humidity any day over 90 degrees with high humidity.
