Go in coin mode to start with. Most likely 4 bars on the sensitivity. Dig all good, locking targets. Report back to us. Take your time and learn your machine. Play by the rules. Don't leave holes. Oh yea, AND HAVE FUN:detecting::thumbup::crazy:

Good luck with it Graw. I know what you mean. When I go to Sydney for Christmas, I'm at a 5am most mornings (first light) and hunt till 9:30am. I hate getting up early as I'm a night person; but some sacrifices need to be made in the name of detecting!:stretcher::bouncy:
I love my 250. It has done well for me.....Jack
I love my 250 so much, my wife is jealous of it.

I love my 250 so much, we communicate well together.

My 250 will make any adjustment to please me.

Unlike Awhitster, I can always turn my 250 on.

My 250 rewards me.

My wife wants me to go to work. My 250 wants to go play.

Yeah I'm not an early riser. Spent all my life getting up at the crack of dawn. Now I sleep to whatever time I feel like getting up unless I have to get an early start on a tecting spot.

Why don't you and your 250 hire out to find lost items for folks or evidence for cops. That way you could pursue your hobby and keep momma happy. :)
