Hi all: Just a quick note to say that last night I went to a small local playground
and found a dime and 5 pennies. None old, but, learning how to distinquish
between coins and junk.

I seem to have to learn how to dig accurately, and also, how to spot coins in dirt,
maybe I could use a seive of some sort?

Ray . . .

do use a sifter on a handle but I have found it quicker/easier just to dig and finger the sand till I get the coin. All that and eyeballin will come to you with time. Sounds like you are off to a good start ! steve in so az

You will learn Ray, The main thing is to go out and playing with your detector. learn what it is doing and learn your detector. The more you use it the more you find :D Have any questions, I 'am sure someone on here will try to help. Good luck and God Bless.

Pinpointing with your detector and finding the coins in the dirt (especially those that have been there awhile and are dark in color) will get easier as you learn and get experience! Keep on keepin' on and the finds will increase!

God Bless!
Betty
