I'm not happy with the all metal on GB Pro

On deep targets there is no id (3 bars). The 5" coil hits all my test coins except an 8" quarter in all metal. It hit on the 7" penny & 7 1/2" dime but no ID. Disc the 5" coil hit only the 7 1/2" nickel and it hit hard. How can you hunt in all metal mode? The old Treasure Baron Gold Trax in all metal had a different sound on iron. To bad the numbers don't work in all metal.

Rick I hate to ask a dumb question but are you looking at the number read out on the screen in all metal because if you are that is your ground balance reading (but only in all metal not disc.). In all metal it's like a little speedometer the little bars that light up above the printed numbers on the faceplate becomes your ID reading.

Hope this helps
John

Yes the 3 bars are coming on over deep targets. I'm getting a hit say on a 7 1/2" dime and no 3 bars showing. It's just blank.

I've read on here that the G2 and the GB GBPRO sister machines since their 19khz are more attuned to smaller objects and lower conductors (silver gold nickel jewlery and relics designed for) that is why the good hit on the nickel lower conductor and the not so good miss on the quarter larger object higher conductor. Also read that the deapth wasn't real good maybe 8" possiably 9" on coins and read they tuned the G2 before it came out from Teknetics to hit better on silver coils too. Mainly due to those twin processors great for seperation for jewlery/coins amongst lots of trash up to 6"-8".

.

Shouldn't there be only one bar showing on the speedometer ID?

I don't know what he means by three bars.

The arc in AM consists of three little bars. Rick I noticed with mine on deep targets the arc in am and the number that come up in disc are at bout the same depth. In other words if you do not get a decent id in disc and you switch to am you will not get the arc to appear either. In Am you can hear deeper targets but have no arc.. If you need more depth the 11dd is quite abit deeper and still has great separation. I only use my 5 inch in the most trashy areas.

Take care
Bob

I'm getting a good meter reading in disc on the 7 1/2" dime and 8" quarter but no bars in all metal. All metal goes deeper but I guess I'll only hunt in disc.

Thank you, God Bless,
Merry Christmas,
