I'm new on MXT world and i begin to search with this detector. Anyone can explain if i try in air with ground balance set on lock position i have the best sensibility??(depth). Can i try on the real ground with setting in lock position too??

Yes. But first ground balance it on the ground in a spot with no metal in the ground where you are hunting then turn the switch to lock.
