And will be staying in Ooltewah Tennesse on a house boat on Harrison bay just below look out mountain I do believe. Will have my detector with me and if anyone has someplace for me to hunt let me know. I know you can't hunt the parks at Harrison Bay State Park.

I live in NWGA about 40 minutes south of Chattanooga. You can hunt some TVA land and parks but you need to apply for a permit.

But I will be coming down I think twice next year, so keep me in mind and I will have yet another detector if Santa is good to me, hopefully the Excalibur.

How do you apply for a permit and what are the requirements of the TVA?

you can print off the application on line http://www.tva.gov/river/recreation/metal_detect.pdf they do a background check and it takes about 3 weeks to get your pic id back..they are very strict down here.they check me everytime i go,and if i dont have my pic id from them they will take your detector! and the permit is good for 2 years.
