thanks max for the info, looks like i can order them now and get whats all needed, im gonna build a set of phones for excal to use with the amp...
glad to see your posts still able to beach hunt,im missing the beaches so so much,but after xmas ill try to hit the beaches again..

looks like the hot trend here on the sov/xcal forum...can anyone recommend a better set...
For anyone thinking about the Gel Pads, they only fit the 101's as far as snaping right in........ ..but you can peel and stick them ..works fine

There are other set's out there the cost more money if you would rather do that .......
I'm happy enough with the Sony's that I'm gonna put em into a set of Peltor 105's !!....I sent back a pair of SunRay Golds, and a defective pain of Black Widow's .....The cheaper Sony's sound better because they are a lower ohm rating and they work on everything I've tried them on , and my hearing is not the best .....They're much louder and sound more detailed to my ears .....Actually , I'm building TWO SETS !!.....At this price , you can afford to have either backups, or a pair for each detector .....Jim
