I'm impressed :clapping:

I really am impressed with the Explorer II. If Minelab could have understood the meaning and purpose of a no-motion pinpoint mode this could have been the perfect metal detector for me. Alas, without a working pinpoint it cannot have that distinction but I am impressed nontheless.

The little 7" coil is impressive in stability and depth. I am truly impressed with the air tests. At the extreme edge of detection around 10" where the audio response is barely recognizable the Explorer still gives a proper id. I've got to find some ground with targets that deep :crylol:

The notch discrimination is the best. That is the main reason I got one and I really really like this feature. You can't imagine how much fun I have with the 12 patterns I can mix and match and edit on the fly. This 2D discrimination is just over the top :goodnight:

Well....that was my rave. I wish I could breed the T2 and the Explorer II together and get the best of both. I'd call it the ExploTer :inlove:

Good to hear you are doing well with the Exp, and it will only get better as you use it more. I agree, the pinpoint is not the best but there is no perfect detector out there...if it were we would all have the same one. After you get more time in with it, crank up the sens., try audio 1, I haven't used another detector that will beat it on depth with ID at almost full detectable range, gosh, I sound like one of those one brand, model, only types but I am not. I also want to try out the T-2 one of these days for some very laden iron trash hunting, heard that it does great there but for an all-around main, until something better comes out, I'll stick with the Explorer. Just wait until you have a had it a year. It's one of those machines that 2 years later you're learn little tricks that makes the Explorer even more amazing. Trust your ears and go by sound.
