I may have missed them by about 200 years, but they left quite a bit of evidence
 
Uhhh you mean the native Americans that held the clam bake? I must be missing sumpthin? Someone has to ask so I'll be it I guess. Thanks for the picture!
 
I suppose it could have been that Americans McClod.

But normally when we are out the detecting, I would say primarily field hunters, we are looking for tell tale signs of past human visitation.part of that evidence can be shells and shards of pottery like are in this picture. Woods hunters are not going to find things like this as often because of leaves and things So, if you find things like this along with nails you know you are on to something
 
Thanks GK! I should of put it together, good eye! I've never hunted where I had to look for signs like that, yet anyway but very interesting area you have and a lot of detective work goes into your hunting I can see! Hopefully you find something near by!
 
That's the good thing about people where ever they go they leave trash behind which makes it easier to follow them . They also leave good stuff with there trash :thumbup: sube
