I'm getting so sick of rain..

Uncle Willy

Here it is practically summer and it's raining and cold here. Really sucks. Hope everyone else's weather is better.

Bill

Hey Bill!
Send some of it to the land down under!I've hardly seen rain for the last 12 months. Things are getting so bad here in New South Wales now that 90% of the state is now drought declared. Most of the farmers are hand feeding their animals and the town of Goulburn(a large regional town) has completely run out of it's water supply. It's now trucking in it's water. They have even closed down all of their playing fields; no good if you want to swing a detector there.
Catch you later,
Mick Evans.:ausflag:

Hi Uncle Willie. The last two days here in Caldwell, Idaho the weather has had a mix. Rain, wind, cold, warm. I have been able to do a little mding in between. Today is just beginning here and it looks like it might be a day for an all day hunt. I hope you and everyone else is enjoying your Memorial Day holiday. God Bless our Troops who are safeguarding our country, so we can enjoy our way of life. HH Dennis in Idaho (Viet-Nam Vet)

Don't know where you're at but here in SW Washington it's been nothing but rain and it's so annoying as I have a new 1350 I'm itching to put through its paces. To add insult to injury, the roof has sprung a couple of leaks so I'll be having to work on that before I can do anything else. It reminds me of Holbrook's interview of an old homesteader who said: "It rains 362 days a year and the other three days are too g**dam* cloudy!"

eating me alive ! I give up on evening hunts...Temperature is to hot and smog alerts everywhere...ain't life grand ? Hope the rain breaks and you can get out soon !

Hey, hope you get out. I used to live in Potlatch. You know where that is? Great fishing and hunting. We have a huge national cemetary just a short ways from my house on top of Mt. Scott and it was loaded with thousands of people today. Several ceremonies and memorials with F-15's flying overhead. The traffic was fierce with cars lined up forever.

Dang bud, sorry to hear that. Global warming has caught up with you. Wish I could ship you some of our wet. Hope things improve. Droughts are a real bummer.

Bill

That's not such a bad idea. It still rains the same amount; just in extremes on opposite sides of the globe.Who knows somebody might start a specialised shipping company that will collect the water from those places that get too much, and sell it to places in drought:beers:Got to be some money it that somewhere.
Cheers,
Mick Evans.

Hey Uncle Willie. Is that Portland,Or or Portland,Ma? If you live in Portland,Or. do you know of any beaches on the coast to md. My grandaugters want to detect on the beach with their Ace 250s. I told them if I could find a place to md on the west coast I would take them this summer, but I am not going all the way to the east coast. If you have any ideas I would appreciate it. Hi Keith, where in sw Washington do you live? Dennis in Idaho

You can go to the mouth of the Columbia River ( the mouth is 18 miles wide )and head south and take your pick. All Oregon beaches are publicly owned and there's about 400 miles of them. They used to mine gold on Gold Beach in Southern Oregon.

Bill

It will come to that someday as man over populates this orb. My nephew and his wife live in Kauai, the rain capitol of the world. I forget how many hundreds of inches a year they get. Everyone who is short of water should get a bucket and head on over there. :)
