My Fisher 1280X water detector, that is........I bought it waayy back when they had the 'lifetime guarantee', I called Fisher with the serial#, they assured me it's 'lifetime warranty' is still in force...She still works great, but needs a new coil, the cable is wearing through,new knobs on the control box, and a new faceplate, and new headphones, they're permanently attached, cable's getting worn on them, too...I'm going to see if they can replace the 8 inch coil with a 10 inch one ,if not, ok........It's going to cost me $25.oo service fee and shipping, for a practically new detector. SWEET!!!......

Getting new hardwired headphones, 8 inch hardwired coil, armrest, mounting bracket, control knobs and faceplate.....I have to include a list of everything needed done, I'm going to ask them if they will 'dust and clean', or replace, the inner workings of the electronics, too...I'm thinking this detector is at least 12-15 years old, I figure that it's a lifetime warranty and only costing me $25.00 service fee plus shipping, I'll have them do EVERYTHING,I can think of. BEST PART IS, it will still have the lifetime warranty !!!!
