This past week at work felt like I had worked 11 days and that was my my Wednesday with 2 more 9 hour shifts to go. My Friday was one of those Murphy Law days (anything that can go wrong did). I was so frustrated I told the boss to fire me - hoping this would end the insanity. He just sent me back to work.
Last night I coaxed Sherry into going out detecting with me. Well she takes pictures and I detect. A very small playground we went to and it gave up $1.41 to the new coil. I was out this morning early - was in the playground at 5:45 AM. I hit several playgrounds. I finally couldn't take any mor eof the heat and headed home at 11:15 AM (that's a lot of detecting time!) - course there was the travel time from one playground to another.
Here's how the new coil is working out:
10 - quarters
10 - nickels
30 - dimes
96 - pennies (US)
3 - pennies (Canada)
Total: $6.99 (my best total so far I think).
The Canadian coins are interesting. One has a bird on it and has the date 1867-1967 (Guessing it to be a commemorative coin for 100 years).
A second coin (wish it was in better shape) has 2 dates on it: 1952 and below it and slightly to the right is 2002.
Guessing this to be a susquesential (?) 50 years commemorative penny. Wondeing what was so important in Canada in 1952 to remember its date on this coin.
The coil is very good at pinpointing. Also found this morning:
1 - Pistol - one of those game piece type pistols - the old muzzle loading dueling pistol looking thing
3 - Kid's rings
1 - Pin in the shape of The 10 Commandments with Roman Numberals on each of the two tablets
1 - Part of a kid's ring - it has the settings - a big green stone in the center surrounded by little diamnond type stones - oval type shape.
Lots of pull tabs and foil. One foil reading was one of the rings.
Well God has been good to me and I have to say Thank you Father God for these items and for keeping me from getting sun 'struck'. Thank you Lord Jesus.
I'll try to post pics when I can and try to catch up on the forum posts - man is my behind dragging from all the work and the heat.
