Hello to all. Im back from my 2 week vacation to the state of Jalisco Mexico and 2 day stay In the northern city of Torreon. I was not happy that 6 out of the 7 Fields we have permission to search had crops or with 5ft tall grass but i guess that is bound to happen during the rainy season there. I got a chance to only go out 4 times during my stay there for periods ranging from 2-4 hours due to the heat and rain I had great expectations because I notice the CTX has better depth in wet/moist soil. The first day I got there we went out and I got the bigger 2 Real Silver Cobb it rang loud and clear 12-46 it was at a whoping 12 Inches deep, I jumped and screamed :bouncy: because of the size of the piece, my thoughts are that this is a 1730 Mo G 2 Real. I am not a professional when it comes to cobbs so if anyone has an idea please let me know. The other cobbs and silver 1/2 reals where found on day 2 and funny thing on day 3 I got skunked but the last day more silver and copper 1/4 reales came out. Funny thing that some of the coins are copper with a silver plating.
On a different post I will share about an experience with the CTX picking something up at about 3ft. and I will also share my 2 day adventure in Torreon.
For now here are some of the better finds (Im in the process of conserving and "cleaning" other coins and relics)
What I learned from this trip is to go back in May when the fields are plowed and there is no tall grass or crops on them and that the CTX IS AN AMAZING MACHINE.
My settings where Wide open program Sensitivity Manual 23-26 Ground Coin Fast-OFF Deep-OFF Salt-OFF

When in Rome dig Roman coins. Awesome finds good for you
